Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) atau perdarahan uterus abnormal merupakan salah satu bentuk gejala ginekologis berupa perdarahan uterus yang berbeda dari menstruasi normal pada wanita usia reproduktif yang tidak hamil. AUB memengaruhi semua perempuan baik dari segi usia, latar belakang termasuk etnis minoritas. Prevalensi dari AUB pada wanita usia reproduktif tidak hamil secara global sekitar 20% - 35% dengan insiden yang lebih tinggi terjadi saat menarch dan perimenopause. Permasalahan yang didapatkan jika AUB termasuk kelainan yang penting untuk diketahui dan cukup sering terjadi pada perempuan, namun pengetahuan mengenali tanda gejala AUB masih kurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana cara bidan mengenali tanda gelaja serta tatalaksana awal dalam menemukan dan menangani AUB. Berdasarkan temuan kasus yang ada, penegakan diagnosis dimulai dari rangkaian anamnesis, pemeriksaan fisik, dan yang terpenting adalah pemeriksaan penunjang berupa USG dan histopatologi dari spesimen endometrium, sehingga peran bidan yang dapat dilakukan dalam asuhan kebidanan ialah mengedukasi perempuan.Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is a gynecological symptom characterized by uterine bleeding that differs from normal menstruation in women of reproductive age who are not pregnant. AUB affects all women regardless of age, background, including ethnic minorities. The prevalence of AUB in non-pregnant women of reproductive age globally is around 20%–35%, with a higher incidence occurring during menarche and perimenopause. Problems associated with AUB are important to be aware of and occur quite frequently in women, but knowledge of the signs and symptoms of AUB is still lacking. This study aims to explore how midwives recognize the signs and symptoms and provide initial management in detecting and treating AUB. Based on existing case findings, diagnosis begins with a series of anamnesis, physical examination, and, most importantly, supporting examinations in the form of ultrasound and histopathology of endometrial specimens. Therefore, the role of midwives in midwifery care is to educate women.
